More than Just Relaxation - Ultrasonic
Hot Spa Can be good for Diabetes Patients
Diabetes is a life-long disease marked by high levels of sugar in the blood.
There is no cure for diabetes. It can be caused by too little insulin (a
hormone produced by the pancreas to regulate blood sugar), resistance to
insulin, or both. Diabetes is also known as diabetes mellitus.
There are three major
types of diabetes:
-
People with type 1
diabetes cannot make their own insulin. Daily insulin injections are
required.
-
People with type 2
diabetes make insulin but cannot use it effectively. Diabetes mellitus
type 2 is a metabolic disorder and usually occurs in people over 30 years.
-
Gestational diabetes
is high blood glucose that develops at any time during pregnancy in a person who
does not have diabetes.
Diabetes type 2
can usually be controlled by diet and exercise. As the insulin production in
pancreas is still possible but impaired, it often does not necessitate the use
of insulin injections. Obesity is a major risk factor for this type of
diabetes and, unfortunately, increasingly more people, including children, are
too sedentary and too fat. About 90% of individuals who have diabetes suffer
from type 2 diabetes. Non-insulin dependent diabetes treatment centers mainly
around diet and regular exercise.
High Risk factors for
Developing Type 2 Diabetes include:
-
people 45 years and
above
-
obesity problem
where the rate is double compared to those within healthy weight range
-
those who have given birth to a large baby,
over 4.0 kg (9 lbs)
-
have a previous
diagnosis of impaired glucose tolerance.
Lifestyle changes
are usually used as the first course of action by doctors, instead of
medications, to control glucose levels. This includes:
-
Limiting your fat
intake as well as cholesterol through diet.
-
Minor weight loss or weight control (for people with Type 2 diabetes) to
improve blood glucose levels. Unfortunately, a side effect of the Type 2
diabetes medications is weight gain.
-
For type 1 diabetes, exercise can be balanced with your meal plan and
insulin to control your diabetes. For type 2 diabetes,
exercise helps to
increase the sensitivity of your body cells to insulin. With this increased
sensitivity, your own insulin works better and your blood sugar levels get
better.
It has been found that
soaking in a ultrasound hot tub can be beneficial for people with type 2 Diabetes.
People with this type of diabetes can often control their condition with proper
weight management, good diet and regular exercise. However, many of these
people are unable to endure rigorous activity physically as well as to maintain
a steady weight. Many of them may even have difficulty in performing activities
of daily living such as walking. Therefore, doing the regular exercise may do
more harm than good for these groups of people.
The
ultrasonic
far-infrared massage bubble bath will be excellent in these situations. During
the bath, an individual are immersed in warm, ultrasonic and far-Infrared bath.
The ultrasonic bubbles produce 10,000-15,000 micro-tremors per second,
delivering 1.5 kg/cm2 of pressure on the body and this produce an effect on
the body similar to exercise. It has been reported that 15 minutes of use
of the Ultrasound Bath produces an effect on the body equivalent to jogging 3 to
5 km.
Find out how to use the ultrasonic
spa bath machine as a passive exercise machine and
achieve all the benefits of
exercising.
